This course is intended for photographers, designers, art directors and artists who want to expand their creative abilities with the vital tools of Adobe Photoshop. The course emphasizes efficient, precise image enhancement techniques, editing, repairing and preparing for output. Participants learn to apply tone and color correction, use layers and layer masks, enhance images with channel mixing, masking and blending, use filters and learn other creative techniques. Additional topics include color modes and profiles and additive and subtractive color theory. All sessions are conducted with hands-on practice on Macintosh computer stations. In order to derive the greatest benefit from this course the participant should have installed Photoshop CS5 or CS6 on his or her home computer before the start of classes. Participants may bring their own laptops provided Adobe Photoshop version CS6 is already installed. Samples will be provided for working in class. There are no supplies required for this class. Students MUST enroll 5 business days prior to the course start date, the final day to register without paying a $15 late fee for all classes in the Fall 2014 semester is September 22nd.
